The Secret That Millionaires Don't Want You To Know

<![CDATA[95% of online businesses fail today. The reason is not because they were built upon bad ideas, but business owners have the wrong focus and incapable to distinguish the difference between success and failure. To be successful in business, you have to acquire one skill, one skill that is so critical that it determines the well-being of your business.

It doesn't matter what business you are in, whether you are running a retail store, an online business, a restaurant; the application of this crucial skill is the same for all. That's why you can see how important it is to learn and apply this skill that will lead you to your success or failure in your online business.

Google knows the secret; so does Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates and Mcdonald's. They know the secret. The secret that leads them to success, the secret that provides them with abundant lifestyle. So now, do you know the secret?

Discover The Secret

It is the art and science of "Media Placement". This particular skill reaps more rewards than any other aspects of business. What we are talking here is "Media Placement Specialist". What is a Media Placement Specialist?, you might ask. It is not a certification whereby you put in your resume to get a job. It is in fact someone who specialises in the skill of placing media to promote your business.

A Media Placement Specialist masters the art and science of placing media and is also the one who controls the game. It is what many experts call as a 'Media Mogul" who controls the different forms of media and, ultimately, marketing. Look at Oprah Winfrey. She is a self-made billionaire Media Mogul. Oprah is now the proud owner of Harpo Productions, has her own TV shows, does print media and internet marketing.

The idea to master the art and science of media placement is simple. Start small, find one or two methods of media placement that work well for you. Don't try to use all methods at one time, you will lose your focus. Start by trying internet media placement, direct mail, pay-per-click or articles. The whole idea of media placement is to find a couple of means and start working on them. Once you have mastered the few methods of media placement, then you can expand the types and amounts of media you use.

As you alreday know, internet marketing is one of many media placement strategies you could use. In fact, it is the fastest, least expensive, low-risk type of media available today if you are willing to take your time to learn some of the secrets. Once you have done some testings on the internet, it will be easier for you to expand into other types of media quickly.

As Rome was not built overnight, learning and mastering the art of marketing take more than just using the different types of media to promote your business. It requires patience, perseverence and persistance. Look at resources available that help you to learn the art of marketing. Take your time to learn it and you will find that it will be the best investment you have ever made.

The Next Generation in Network Marketing… The funded Proposal

<![CDATA[As you may or may not know, I have been involved in network marketing and internet marketing for over 15 years. I have personally sponsored over 400 people into various organizations. I say this not to brag but just to point out that I have been there and done that with respect to MLM and internet marketing. I have been the guy who goes across stage and speaks in front of the crowd. I have also been the guy that is totally broke because I couldn’t afford to keep my MLM business going, because it was costing me more than I was making. Maybe you can relate? The traditional model for MLM has never really seemed to work for me. 95% of all home based businesses fail. I believe that is in part to the fact that most people just do not have any experience in marketing themselves or their products. When you add to that the complexities of the internet to someone that is already overwhelmed with their new business, it’s no wonder that they just throw in the towel. If you haven't figured it out yet, no matter how great your MLM is, you need a constant supply of qualified prospects. Just getting a few, who get a few, who get a few, is ok... but we already know that 95% of them will fail. You are going to have to sponsor literally hundreds if not thousands to be successful. One person that I know had to personally sponsor over 600 people to reach his goal of 100,000 per year. He acheived it and is now retired. There are only 3 or 4 other people that I know that have achieved that level of income. Your choices for building a business are... either approach your warm market, or you can figure out how to find qualified prospects on the internet. The warm market approach has worked since the beginning of time. Problem is I just don’t know enough people personally to keep ahead of the 95% drop off rate. Finding people that are interested and qualified for your business on the internet is not as easy as it seems. To me we should just be able to advertise our website and people will come flocking with credit card in hand right? WRONG… As a matter of fact most people think that it should be that easy. Anyone that has truly been around in the networking business since the internet will tell you that internet marketing is actually pretty sophisticated. Believe me when I tell you that I have purchased thousands of leads, made 10s of thousand of phone calls to those leads, and sent 100’s of thousands of emails out. The good news is that there are literally millions of people every day that are looking for some sort of home based business opportunity online. The bad news is that there are literally millions of people every day that are looking for some sort of home based business opportunity online. Remember our statistic of 95%. That means that most of the people on the internet are failures as well. So we have inexperienced failures, teaching new people how to be inexperienced failures… Sort of like the blind leading the blind. There is a cure for the ignorance… It’s called a funded proposal. Let’s say that we are looking for prospects for our home based network marketing business. In addition to talking to our warm market, we want to learn how to market on the internet as well. In the online world one of those millions that are floundering about out there are called biz op seekers. Part of the problem with a biz-op seeker is that we really don’t know anything about them other than they are some random person floating around out there that has at one time requested information. They probably have little idea of what they want or what they are interested in either. Again, just kind "out there" floating around in the ether of the internet. This is what we don’t know about them. 1. Are they serious? 2. Do they have the required funds to start? 3. Are the teachable and willing to listen and learn? 4. Do they have the tools (internet, phone, desk, etc?) 5. Are they willing to commit? 6. Do they have any experience with marketing, sales or the internet? We could purchase these leads from a list broker. The more information that the list broker collects for us, the more the list broker will charge us for the lead. Over the years I have purchased and worked leads that cost anywhere from .10 cents a piece all the way to 20.00 a piece. I definitely like the $20.00 leads better than the .10 cent ones. There is a direct correlation between how much you pay for the lead and the quality of the lead most times. Problem is how many times can you spend 20.00 for a lead that only closes 5-10% of the time? Depending on the opportunity that you are selling, you may not be able to afford that. Purchasing leads from a broker can actually drive you to being bankrupt. I know people now that are spending $4 bucks per lead, and when they sign up a new rep, they make $15. Sounds good right? WRONG… The problem is that it takes ten $4 leads to produce one $15 sale. So this person is actually going in the hole by $25 every time they sponsor someone. (Not to mention the hours and hours of phoning people, voicemail, phone tag and unfriendly people answering the phones) Tens of thousands of distributors across the country working for hundreds of different companies are doing the exact same thing. They are living in what I call MLM DENIAL… They just can’t admit to themselves that their business is a failure. They keep hoping that at some point in the future, that there business will take off and they’ll make their fortune. Unfortunately with the high drop out percentage of 95%, that day never really comes. The Funded Proposal. Keep in mind the characteristics that we didn’t know about those people that were looking for a business. 1. Are they serious? 2. Do they have the required funds to start? 3. Are the teachable and willing to listen and learn? 4. Do they have the tools (internet, phone, desk, etc?) 5. Are they willing to commit? 6. Do they have any experience with marketing, sales or the internet? If our prospects were able to answer yes to at least the first 5 of these 6 questions, then we would know that they are pretty good prospects. A funded proposal helps us find the qualified prospects by having them go through some hoops, and purchase some item, before we approach them about primary MLM. Here is an example of the steps that they would go through. 1. They would read or come across an advertisement that we did on the internet. 2. They sign up for a free report that we offered that starts to educate them on us and internet marketing. 3. They pay between $20-60 to get more intensive training on MLM, internet marketing, and maybe learning some sales skills. 4. They receive additional information and training from you (or your mentor) through autoresponders. 5. Through the quality of the information that they purchased from you, and your autoresponders, you have now established yourself in that prospects mind as an expert, or at least someone that they can trust. This is a classic example of a funded proposal. It helps figure out that this prospect is a good one, worthy of us taking our time to talk with them. The probably do have some money because they already spent some. Seriously broke people have a bad mentality that is hard to work with, but temporarily broke people can find ways to come up with money if they need to. People that have no problem coming up with money in exchange for value are the type of people that we are looking for. They are teachable, because they wouldn’t have ordered the training, if they weren’t open to learning. They committed already with their wallet. Now they have part of the training on the internet that they were missing prior to us meeting them in the first place. Now they are actually more prepared to be successful on the internet because they purchased your informational product. Now we can approach them about whatever opportunity we want. They are now ready. The good news is that we made between $20-$60. By that person coming through our set up system, we made at least a few bucks, and that prospects made themselves more attractive to use, because they have spent money, stepped up, and have learned information that they are going to need along the way!! At this point even if they didn't join our primary MLM, we have still made a profit on them, and we now have their information, so maybe at some time in the future you can work together again.. Remember the saying... the money is in the list So instead of paying for a lead we know nothing about, we are making money, while producing a high quality lead for our primary business!! I am aware of two or three such systems. Interesting thing is that it is sort of like selling picks and shovels to the ole 49 miners. Back in 1849 was the great Gold Rush in California. 100's of thousands of people came out to mine for gold. Of course only a few people actually found enough to claim their fortune. You know who did make a lot of money back them? The hardware stores selling picks and shovels, and Levi' strauss selling his jeans. We have a similar opportunity here. The internet is like the gold rush... Everyone is trying to make money with it, but the people that provide the tools of the trade are the ones that just may make it rich... Everyone that wants to be successful on the internet is going to need the tools of the trade. 1. Lead Capture Pages... These “capture” interested lead information 2. Autoresponders... These are automatic email follow up systems 3. Training… Most people need to learn A LOT about the internet!! 4. Their own funded proposal program. 5. A website, and a domain. By offering these things to people prior to us approaching them about our primary MLM, we can actually prepare them better for what is coming, profit from the entire prospecting system, and produce the best possible leads available. Another key element of this process is that most of it is automated over the internet. Usually the only time you’ll get a call is when someone is a “hot” prospect and needs your help to enroll, or has a "buying question" We don't mind those types of calls. We usually don’t call at anytime until they have at least finished the funded proposal portion of our program. For additional information on funded proposals please see our website below. As always, we would love to hear your comments, concerns or questions on anything that we write.

Variables To Consider When Sending Your Home Business Email Campaigns

<![CDATA[There are two overriding factors and several variables to consider when you create and send out your home business email promotions and newsletters. The two major factors are Open rates and Click thrus. Once you determine which is most important for your mailing it is time to consider the other variables. These variables have a major impact on the success of your mailings and the success of your home business.

Here are the most important variables that affect both Open rates and Click thrus of your home business email pieces. The level of personalization, the industry in which you are involved, the market to which you are sending your mailings, the day the mailing is sent and the creative quality of the piece including design, headline, copy and offer. Consider this carefully: It does not matter what day you send out a poorly designed piece with a bad headline, poorly written copy and a lackluster offer. It will not get a good Open rate and the Click thru rate will be poor as well.

A very good method to get an idea of what represents the best of these variables is to start a file. In that file keep the email pieces you consider to be effective. Start saving the emails that get your attention, the ones you feel compelled to open. Study them against these variables. Determine what makes them good. What did the headline say that got you to open the email? How did this home business owner fashion the copy? What did the piece say that kept you reading? What kind of offer was made? How was the offer presented?

An added benefit to this file that you should start is that you will get ideas for your own home business email campaigns. I am not advocating plagiarism of the pieces. I am saying that if it attracts you, there is a good chance it will attract the market you are mailing to, your prospects. Study it and emulate the best parts. Put it in your words, the words your list of prospects will understand. Fashion your piece in a way that will get your prospects to respond.

To get the results you are looking for and to increase profits in your home business, you must determine your objectives, factor in the variables, make your piece the best it can be and test, test, test.

For more information on getting your emails opened, read and acted upon, follow the links below.

How to prevent phishing of your identity

<![CDATA[How to prevent phishing of your identity Who hasn’t received an email directing them to visit a familiar website where they are being asked to update their personal information? The website needs you to verify or update your passwords, credit card numbers, social security number, or even your bank account number. You recognize the business name as one that you’ve conducted business with in the past. So, you click on the convenient “take me there” link and proceed to provide all the information they have requested. Unfortunately, you find out much later that the website is bogus. It was created with the sole intent to steal your personal information. You, my friend, have just been “phished”. Phishing (pronounced as “fishing”) is defined as the act of sending an email to a recipient falsely claiming to have an established, legitimate business. The intent of the phisher is to scam the recipient into surrendering their private information, and ultimately steal your identity. It is not at easy as you think to spot an email phishing for information. At first glance, the email may look like it is from a legitimate company. The "From" field of the e-mail may have the .com address of the company mentioned in the e-mail. The clickable link even appears to take you to the company's website, when in fact, it is a fake website built to replicate the legitimate site. Many of these people are professional criminals. They have spent a lot of time in creating emails that look authentic. Users need to review all emails requesting personal information carefully. When reviewing your email remember that the "From Field" can be easily changed by the sender. While it may look like it is coming from a .com you do business with, looks can be deceiving. Also keep in mind that the phisher will go all out in trying to make their email look as legitimate as possible. They will even copy logos or images from the official site to use in their emails. Finally, they like to include a clickable link that the recipient can follow to conveniently update their information. A great way to check the legitimacy of the link is to point at the link with your mouse. Then, look in the bottom left hand screen of your computer. The actual website address to which you are being directed will show up for you to view. It is a very quick and easy way to check if you are being directed to a legitimate site. Finally, follow the golden rule. Never, ever, click the links within the text of the e-mail, and always delete the e-mail immediately. Once you have deleted the e-mail, empty the trash box in your e-mail accounts as well. If you are truly concerned that you are missing an important notice regarding one of your accounts, then type the full URL address of the website into your browser. Today we'll focus on how to create great landing pages and the use of affiliate programs to further enhance your marketing efforts.

Creating good online coupons to offer customers is not the only thing you need to do to maximize your sales. Using an enticing landing page that meets the customer with the deal they're being offered is also an effective tool leading to a sale. There are two ways that let the customer know the benefit of the coupon they're using, and both can be equally appealing choices.

Option 1 to creating an appealing landing page for a coupon is to restate the coupons terms and offers and to reiterate the promotion code that needs to be entered upon checkout. This way the customer knows they are getting the deal they had anticipated receiving, and makes them aware of potential expiration on getting the discount. As we discussed in our previous article, that sense of urgency is a good way to provoke your shoppers into a buy mentality.

Option 2 takes this a step further by automatically applying the coupon at checkout, so when the customer gets to the checkout page, their discount code is applied and actively showing them their deal. This also benefits the customer because they don't need to go back to get the code, where they can be distracted from the point of purchase. By adding something to the landing page like "Your 10% coupon code will be automatically applied at checkout" in a highly visible area, you are able to keep customers from being confused about what they're getting. You can also use cookies so the next time they visit, if they remember their coupon, they will be more likely to realize they can still get a great discount.

Affiliate programs can also be beneficial when used with coupons to promote your products or sales. New and expiring coupons are littered on coupon web sites throughout the internet bringing more attention to you! Just check out this coupon code homepage for an example of who can be displaying your coupon. In addition, many affiliates will be happy to promote your store when you have a great coupon code or promotion to offer. These high traffic sites bring a ton of added exposure and drive a large customer base of shoppers ready to buy - you know this because they clicked on your coupon! Another secret tip to getting affiliates to put your coupons on their homepage is to increase commissions temporarily upon proof of good placement. Sometimes these affiliate sites can get many more buyers than your own!

Coupons have migrated to the web in a big way, and should be a part of any serious marketing campaign. If you aren't using online coupon codes and one time deals to promote your site, you're missing the boat on driving incremental customers to buy your products.
